Morning Glory

For a moment, on the last day of July, this year, this was the sunrise over the town in which I live. However the day turned out, it started with this beauty.

I thought I would publish this picture to show that while my life is mostly about cats, it’s not all about cats. Mostly, but not all. Mostly, though.

ROFLOL! It's a gorgeous image, and yes, we all have lives beyond cats...but...cats!

  2. That is a reminder of how lovely the world can be.

No, life is not *all* about cats...but they have a way of ensuring that they're at the top of the priority list. :)

  3. That is STUNNING! Magnificent! Wonderful capture, just glorious.

I pretend my life isn't all about cats, and I guess it's not...it's cats and work to support them. Uh, so yeah, I guess my life IS all about cats. :-P

    1. I'm glad our cats allow us a few minutes now and then to watch sunrises - and to talk to others about cats...

  4. I must agree with Kia on two points: First, your picture of the sunrise is absolutely gorgeous. And second, while I may pretend my life isn't all about cats, (or should I say animals in general.), most people quickly see through my pretense. But the nice thing about being my age, (read - "old"), is that you no longer have to worry about what other people think. Therefore, anyone who wants to can feel free to think I'm a "crazy animal lady". After all, they'd be correct. :-)

    1. Yes, after a certain age, you realise that caring about what people think about you is rather absurd, and you feel sorry for the people who are still too young not to care.

    1. Ninety-nine per cent cats and one per cent sunrises. Not a bad proportion...

  10. Really beautiful photo. All of the promise of the new day there.
My life IS all about cats, whether I like it or not. I certainly am able to appreciate other things, but my cats have taken over. There, I’ve said it. I’ve outed myself. I’m a cat lady.

    1. It's our fate, I think, if we really care about something, to let it overwhelm us. But that's not so bad.

  11. What a wonderful way to start the day. You are up very early - but then I am sure the cats make sure you. After all breakfast must be served.

    1. I rise at 5.30 every morning to give insulin to two of the boys, so I often just stay up. One weekdays, of course, I go to work.

  12. A beautiful sunrise! I like some of the sunsets I see, too, but there's something about getting the day off to a good start! - Tom x
