A Bit More of Zofia

I want to thank everyone for their comments regarding my latest injury. It is healing as well as wounds do at my age; it still looks ugly but is not sore. I haven't gone to the doctor; I don't think there's a need for it. The remarks left by people on the blog were appreciated; a number made me chuckle. It’s a sign of how accidents simply happen sometimes that so many of us have suffered such events. Let’s hope one or two for each person is the limit.

Additionally, this entry is an excuse to publish cute pictures of Zofia. She has warmed up to Horace quite a bit now, and has decided that big brother Hector is for playing and big brother Horace is for cuddles. She has initiated chases and wrestling matches with Hec, and has no compunction about snuggling up to Ivory for a comforting bath; she will even push her head under Horace’s tongue while he’s trying to groom himself. Good-natured fellow that he is, Horace rarely refuses such a demand.

Neville seems to have accepted Little Miss Zed’s presence. I know he doesn’t care for it, but I can almost hear his weary sigh of resignation as he watches her. And Renn continues to treat the kitten as a non-entity.

While it would be nice to see Zofia go to a permanent home with one of her brothers, she really needs both to complete what she wants of a companion, and Horace probably wouldn’t care for being forever associated with the little Turk. On the other hand, Zofia will undoubtedly find a friend, or several, wherever she ends up; I’m not worried about her future integration. All she needs really is for the abysmal pace of adoptions to pick up.

  1. Oh, gosh, those pics are so adorable. A great dose of kitten cuteness to end the week.

I'm glad your eye is healing, albeit more slowly, perhaps, than if you were younger. :-)

  3. You took great photos with your banged up black eye. Fun to see Miss Zed with her new found brothers and she knows how to get an easy quick bath while someone else does the work.

  12. She's such a little darling. I do hope Neville can at least get to the point where he doesn't object to having her around. I'm also glad to hear your injury is doing better. Your accident sounded pretty scary.

  13. If I counted the times that I found a bruise or scratch, and wondered when/where/how I'd gotten such a thing, I'd have had to use many fingers and toes! It's the major owies that stick in the memory, or when a kind friend takes a photo of the huge bruise to join the hilarity of your injury; they laughing much more than me!
Zofia is a cutie pie, and we all know she's going to do well in a furrever home someday, as well as at The Cozy Apartment.
