Yours sound a bit more 'investigative' than mine, as regards a Christmas tree, so I don't blame you for not having one. Enjoy the season regardless, as I am sure you will.John Bellenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10946140614088069665noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6508973452758369679.post-56969245320405976422016-12-21T06:40:48.306-08:002016-12-21T06:40:48.306-08:00Very true. It's sort of a physical tie to the past. It is continuity with what was , is now and will be in Christmases to come.
Your last photo shows that the tree is really doing its job making your house a places of warmth and contentment.

Karihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01172029625828982319noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6508973452758369679.post-89838426822868470132016-12-20T18:53:49.176-08:002016-12-20T18:53:49.176-08:00I love your decorations, John. With my 6 cats, having a Christmas tree would not a good idea, but everyone does have a stocking and I put out some unbreakable Christmas knick-knacks. My "fur-kids" and I wish you and your clowder a Christmas that's filled with fun, friends and happiness.Robertahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08993528390901569340noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6508973452758369679.post-56909264631388451692016-12-20T16:14:39.252-08:002016-12-20T16:14:39.252-08:00I love the tree! In fact, I always turn on the lights when I get up in the morning and on again when I get home for work (or when dusk comes). I think I could do without the rest of the trappings of the holidays...but never the tree.

Wishing you a very Happy Christmas! Our tree is also looking more worn with every passing year, and also from Flynn who must rub his scent onto it every time it comes out, and again when it goes away for another year.Memories of Eric and Flynnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07895995542393169845noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6508973452758369679.post-31545010685126913072016-12-20T13:06:12.162-08:002016-12-20T13:06:12.162-08:00Thank goodness my cats aren't that interested ...Thank goodness my cats aren't that interested in the Christmas decorations, although I do only have a table top tree.ANGEL ABBYGRACEhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08777233381092226583noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6508973452758369679.post-83872127372204478262016-12-20T11:22:33.426-08:002016-12-20T11:22:33.426-08:00I would so listen to “Skulking Around the Christma...I would so listen to “Skulking Around the Christmas Tree” :)

I wanted a fireplace to hang our stockings by, so we went to Big Lots and bought an electric one for a couple of hundred dollars. It was a nice big piece of furniture with two book shelves on the side, and it gave off some nice heat too.
Connie - Tails from the Foster Kittenshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01127077337743262149noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6508973452758369679.post-6649525971317054692016-12-20T10:31:11.577-08:002016-12-20T10:31:11.577-08:00since mom travels, we don't get a tree....but ...since mom travels, we don't get a tree....but we can certainly appreciate stockings on bookcases :)Random Felineshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02591546634183113556noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6508973452758369679.post-51184058203020289302016-12-20T08:50:50.010-08:002016-12-20T08:50:50.010-08:00Your tree is very purretty.
