Tucker at My Table

Of my cats, only Tucker keeps me company when I eat. None of the others gives my dining a first thought, let alone a second. But the roly poly one likes to sit in a favourite spot, a dining table chair. For much of the meal, he watches me, hoping for a small share of what I am having. This is what I see while I eat.

Perhaps needless to write, he usually gets a little portion. Equally needless to write, it’s probably why Tucker is known as the roly poly one.

  3. too cute....no dining room table here. fortunately for mom we basically leave her alone - unless there is milk or ice cream in which case Tommy makes a pest of himself

  4. Tucker looks so cute sitting at the table. I can see why you give him a portion of your dinner. Who could resist?

  5. Miss Pops has no interest in my food unless she smells ham and then only wants to try a little bit. If Tucker was at my table I would feed him a bit too.

My old cat Puss loved a bit of whatever was on my plate but her favorite was sweetcorn.

  9. Mealtime must be such a treat with such a sweet face sitting opposite. I would love to have one of mine to sit so calmly and be my dinner companion. Unfortunately , all of mine come flying from four corners and have a free for all on my table. I once had to pull my chicken leg out of Tigger's mouth. My cats have no manners when it comes to food.

    1. The image of you fighting Tigger for your chicken gave me a chuckle. I've caught Tucker twice in the midst of him reaching for something he ought not to have - but he's not had Tigger's audacity.
