Sneezing, Now and Then

Renn has a cold. It’s not a bad cold. He’s sneezing - more often than not, on me - and he’s sniffling. He has a snotty sound to his breathing now and then. He is still eating, as little as he ever does. The cold’s effects are already diminishing, and won’t be present for long, I believe, and are not drastic, anyway.

My big boy rarely has a medical problem. It was determined that he needed to lose a few teeth after his last examination, and he had a dental that cleared up any mouth problems. Though his appetite is small, he always is strong and vigorous. He will be thirteen this year, however, and I must be vigilant with his health, though it has never been the concern for me that Tucker’s or Cammie’s has been. Watchfulness will be maintained.

So, while Renn sneezes now and then, he is all right and will, with luck and care, continue so. This entry was really just so I could display some pictures of the big boy, anyway…

  1. Ah! Bless! It's always nice to see one or
all of your pussy~cats John..As far as l'm
concerned, l could at pussy~cats all day..
Or play with them..Fudge who lives a couple
of door away, has been round, like most
mornings, for his saucer of milk, a a few
treats..this morning he had a few pieces
    of partridge, yesterdays lunch..he loves
game..if l have pheasants hanging on the
kitchen door, and he sees them, he becomes
quite vocal..and when l do get around to
doing them..well..that in it's self is worth
    filming..Bless him! :).

  3. Renn is beautiful. He reminds me so much of my late Mac. Even their personalities seem to have been so similar.

Yes, even cats have to sometimes contend with winter sniffles. I hope he's completely over them soon.

  7. Renn darling...Katie has had two of those complete with running eyes and nose...and she sneezed on me constantly. Nothing quite like that in the night! Coated with snooze from her nose and spit from the open mouth sneeze. Yup. Renn, get better. Sounds as though you are.

  8. I hope Renn is soon better, and more importantly that he doesn't pass the sniffles on to the others.

  9. We hope that your sneezes go away soon Renn. I always wonder how cats like yours that have no access to outside cats get colds and flu?

    1. I've wondered that myself. Maybe I bring the germs in from outsider-cats; I'm not affected but my beasts are. It's the only thing I can think of.

  10. Goodness, Renn, who brought the cold bug into the house?
Get well soon and don't spread the germs past John.

    1. Fortunately, humans can't catch cat-colds, and vice versa. If it were otherwise, I think I'd always be sick.
