Kind Thoughts and Hospital Gowns

I would like to thank all those who have wished me well in my surgery tomorrow, and who have written that they will be thinking of me. It is, as operations go, a minor procedure; my doctor told me that it will take far longer to set up the theatre for the work than it will to perform the surgery itself. Nonetheless, I am grateful for the kind thoughts.

I won’t be staying overnight and will be back home among the cats probably by mid-afternoon. This reduces one of the greatest dangers that comes from a medical procedure in a hospital, which is having to appear in an embarrassing, ill-suited gown, like some of the other patients…

  2. At least you won't be away for long. Recovering from any medical procedure is no fun, but it certainly helps if you can do it at home.

Again, my best wishes that all goes well!

  3. Best wishes for tomorrow John...
I think you'll get a lot of interested
parties 'sniffing' round you, when you
get home wondering what that medical
    smell is...! :O).

  4. Oh no you didn't!
Madame Minuet looks to be in the height of fashion in her gown, and nothing is showing that shouldn't be showing, like humans in those gowns that tie in the back!
Am sure you will sail through this, John, with flying colours!

  5. Don't think you'll be as well gowned as Minuet?
Follow orders, especially from the 4 home doc's you'll have
    waiting for you.

  8. LOL. Please don't tell us you're riding your bike to and from the hospital. (Kidding...I hope!)

Fingers and paws are crossed here, and we're sending tons of healing energy and purrs!

  9. Those gowns are terrible and never fit! For that very reason I bought a pair of pull on Jeans with absolutely no metal in them. Now when I have my regular scans I can go in in my own clothes.
Continuing good wishes for tomorrow. I will most likely be offline for the next 2 weeks but will try and catch up tomorrow night or Friday morning.

  16. I always seem to find these posts late, so I'm assuming you are home now and recovering. Hope all went well and the cats are doing their best to ensure you rest. :)
