Minuet is still not feeling well. She hasn’t thrown up since yesterday, before her veterinary visit, though I don’t know if that is a progression in her illness or the work of the Cerenia she received at the hospital (if it is the latter, she may vomit further after the injection wears off.) Another change is that she is not drinking as much water as yesterday, when she ambled from bowl to bowl, taking in a few laps at each.
She is not eating on her own, so I am syringe-feeding Recovery-and-water to her every couple of hours. Her poop is very liquidy, and reddish, which concerns me. I will be considering another veterinary visit if there is no improvement in Madame’s condition in the next few days.
Best thoughts for Minuet and you, John. I do hope she is not truly sick.
ReplyDeleteOh John, no. Madame must get better. We ALL insist on it. I am so very sorry she has nit recovered fully. The good part stil is that she checked out well enough when she ws there. Surely she will get better. Lots of head bonks and nosetaps to her, and love as well.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear that Min is still not feeling well. Perhaps you shouldn't wait and tomorrow give the vet another call, especially since Min is still having liquid stools with possible blood in them. The fact that she is not eating or drinking except for the syringe feedings you're giving her is another concern since dehydration can occur. Please keep us posted. Get well soon, Min!!
ReplyDeleteSending purrayers and Power of the Paw to sweet Minuet.
ReplyDeleteDang, that poor sweet gal, I sure hope she is feeling much better soon.
ReplyDeletePurring for Madame.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry she is still unwell. The poop is concerning, and if there is no improvement I think another call to the vet sooner than later is important considering her age.
ReplyDeleteThe reddish stools worry me a lot. I don't want to sound bossy, but if that doesn't improve soon, maybe you shouldn't wait to call the vet?
ReplyDeletePlease do let us know how she's doing, when you get a chance. We hope she's soon feeling much better, but over and above that, John, we wish her comfort, dignity and peace. Lots of purrs and purrayers from us.
ReplyDeleteOh dear Minuet! I hope the vet can find the answer sooner than later.
