Josie's Head-start on the Weekend

It’s Friday at last. My work-place is going through a slow period right now (it often does following Christmas), so I was given an unscheduled holiday on Wednesday - unpaid, of course. It’s nice having a day off in the middle of the week, but I’ll feel it when I receive my pay-cheque today.

But regardless, I’m glad it’s the weekend. I am looking forward to it, even though I had Wednesday off. I’ll be watching a movie, reading, writing, listening to music, spending time with cats (probably not in that order) and doing some of what my Chubs is doing here - except in a different position. Ouch.

  1. Sounds like a good plan to us. Nothing like a nice extra day off. You all have a super week end.

  2. Can you imagine if we tried to contort ourselves into the positions cats do? I'm with you...ouch definitely springs to mind.

    Have a wonderful weekend!

  3. I don't think my body would bend into anything at all like Josie's position. Ouch indeed. That would undo my physio to date. Ha.

The mid-week day off sounds nice--but paid, not unpaid. :-/

Enjoy your weekend, it sounds good! Mine will consist of busing everywhere on the monthly payday grocery/cat food/litter shopping spree. LOL.

  5. I hope the cats enjoyed having you home for the day. I had a day of the week too ( leftover vacation day from last year) and I felt I was disrupting Jessica's weekday routines. My efforts to house clean were ruining her beauty sleep.

    1. That rarely bothers my conscience, since they sleep all day while I'm out earning their daily kibble most of the time, the lazy dogs.

  6. That sounds lovely and just the sort of day my mom would choose as well.

  7. I hope you had a great weekend - sound like wonderful things with which to occupy yourself. I loved your post on my blog "Tucker's 'wise and solemn' face - not exactly true to his personality" I was smiling at that one :)

  8. Nothing like a quiet weekend doing that which come naturally. I find pie comes quite naturally while resting with the furs but that is my cross to bare
