A Fog Along the Horizon, A Strange Glow in the Sky
Bright eyes burning like fire.
Bright eyes, how can you close and fail?
How can the light that burned so brightly
Suddenly burn so pale?
Bright eyes.
Song by Mike Batt
From the film Watership Down
Sung by Art Garfunkel
The words are so fitting. Thankfully the light in Tungsten's eyes will remain forever in your heart.

ReplyDeleteThose are such lovely thoughts. We sure send you huge hugs. Take care.
ReplyDeleteThey bring such joy to us when they are with us and such sadness when they leave. They are such magnificent, loving creatures. I hope the wonderful memories of Tungsten will soon bring a smile to your face. Hugs, Deb
ReplyDeleteThe lyrics are a perfect tribute to Tungsten. Soft purrs and gentle head butts.
ReplyDeleteShe was your friend and you loved her. Allow yourself all of the time you need. Are the other cats missing Tungsten too?
ReplyDeleteShe'll give you a sign to let you know all is well. Even if you don't believe in signs, she will.
Thank you for your sympathetic comments. Tungsten was unique - as they all are. I think Renn was looking for her the other evening. They were good friends. I'll never have another top-cat.

ReplyDeletePerfect for beautiful Tungsten. And we will mourn her loss with you for we know how you feel. We stand with you.
ReplyDeleteSuch a loving and elegant tribute. Loss is so painful. Delightful memories can uplift us.
