This little girlcat will be coming to stay with me on Friday. This is Carmella, estimated to be about four years old. She is an interesting looking lady, a ‘tortie-point Siamese’, with her head the pattern of a tortoiseshell and her body and blue eyes those of a Siamese. She is from another foster-home in the rescue-group, a home which has too many cats for Carmella to feel comfortable.
Usually I don’t bring in a new cat until the previous one’s adoption has been finalised but, as Hector would - I hope - slip pretty much back into the routine of the Cosy Apartment if he were to return, there is no problem with Carmella occupying the library until she is integrated.
From what I am told, this sweet-faced creature is the quiet, people-oriented sort. She probably won’t be a playmate for Zofia, but that problem is under consideration, too. For now, it looks like I will have four cats again quite soon.
John, your heart is as big as all outdoors!
ReplyDeleteCarmella is a cutie.
Ah! What a pretty little face..Bless!x
ReplyDeleteWell, this will be fun for all we hope. She looks to be quite lovely.
ReplyDeleteBoy, that was fast! Carmella has such a sweet face; I hope she'll feel at home soon.
ReplyDeleteLast year, our rescue group was asked to take in more than seven hundred cats. Those were just the telephone requests, never mind those by email or through Facebook. There is a great dearth of shelter-spots and foster-homes, so when a space is available it is usually filled quickly.
DeleteShe's a pretty ladycat! I hope all goes well with the integration. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad she is coming to live with all of you. And I think Hector would not think a thing about coming back to the Cozy Apartment other than being glad to be there.
ReplyDeleteCarmella is absolutely gorgeous, and I'm sure she will be happy in the Cosy Apartment. As Katie said, if Hector were to return, I think he would be very happy.
ReplyDeleteAwwwwwww! What a cutie! She is so lucky that she will be looked after so well in your home!

What a beauty she is. I can't wait to meet her.
ReplyDeleteShe's a looker. Thank you for finding space in your heart and home for these wee souls.
ReplyDeleteShe is beautiful. It will be nice to meet her.
ReplyDeleteAwww..she is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beauty! Sounds like she might blossom with a lesser number of kitties around than where she is right now.
ReplyDeleteCarmella sure is pretty. We are looking forward to getting to know her.
ReplyDeleteVery cute Carmella!
