Her Fortress of Solitude

Sometimes when I make the bed, I put the comforter on the floor, bunched up. That’s when Josie likes to find it. She burrows into it and makes a cosy little den for herself. She reminds me of a little child with her play-fort. That’s my Chubs, no doubt feeling warm and comfy somewhere in there.

  1. Josie and my Chuck! He's trained me so very well, that if he just looks at a chair, I immediately run over with a blanket or coat or sweater to drape across so he can jump up and nap in the 'tent'!

  3. I hope the duvet is kept where and how Josie wants it to be. Don't put it back on the bed.
Keep warm Josie - winter is coming.

    1. Hey, I'm the one without the permanent fur-coat; I need that duvet at bed-time! But I will be bringing out the heating pads for the cat-beds this week. The beasts will love those.

  4. If I heard correctly Lethbridge got snow yesterday. I'm with Josie, find a warm place to cuddle in and hibernate!

    1. Plenty of heavy, wet snow, and cold, to go with it. It is already melting, but it's an harbinger, so Josie, me, and all the other beasts are getting ready.

  5. Lethbridge already had some snow?? I'm siding with Eileen...Let Josie have the duvet. But don't despair, maybe she'll let you borrow it on occasion! :-)

  6. I think cats have the right idea about snuggling in when the cold arrives. We only get snow here once every 10 years or so, so think you must all be very tough.

    1. Most of my cats like to lie on things; Josie enjoys burrowing.

  8. That's got to be the all-time cosiest duvet "cave". And frankly, I feel like doing the same most work days!

    1. If they had that at work, they'd never get me out.
