Neville is recovering well from his surgery. He did become sick this morning, throwing up some thick liquid, but I don’t believe it’s connected to either his operation or his subsequent medicine. Hector, too, is off; he is not throwing up anything substantial, but has puked some foam, and is rather lethargic. I don’t think it is anything serious. I was reminded that a couple of weeks after Horace came to live here, two of the beasts were ill, with similar symptoms as are being shown now. It might be that little Miss Zed inadvertently brought something, too. I am watchful but not worried, especially as both patients this morning had a good breakfast, and have kept it down.
In the meantime, Zofia has made progress. Rather, her relations with the other cats have made progress. Readers may be familiar with such images as these…
The last is Ivory and Zed on my lap together; my lap may have been thinking of them as the anvil and the feather… Zofia is coming to lie with Horace for more than grooming; sometimes she will find him and simply snuggle against him to snooze.
Then, I woke from a nap this afternoon and saw this combination. I would have liked to see it in the process of formation…
I don’t know if the Nevsky liked having the baby so close, but he didn’t leave, and didn’t hiss.
Wow! Those pictures are amazing. It seems that the cats have formed quite a bond. I'm glad to hear that Neville is recuperating well from his surgery, and hopefully Hector will soon be feeling better too.
ReplyDeleteNeville seems to have changed his opinions of Zofia after all his surgery stuff. Such sweet pictures!
ReplyDeleteSuch sweet photos. I hope everyone feels better soon.
ReplyDeleteThose together photos are beautiful. I'm so glad that Neville is recovering so well.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear Neville is recovering well. Sometimes I think cats throw up just to keep us on our toes.
ReplyDeleteZophia reminds me of Sami when she first came home. Sasha and Silver were not very enamoured of her, but she won over Sasha and Silver learned to simply avoid her as best she could. The two girls would snuggle up to Sasha on opposite sides. I used to laugh and say about Sami, "I'm the baby, gotta love me". I suspect Zophia feels much the same way.
Ha! Yes, that may be Miss Zed's thinking, too.
DeleteThey are all adorable photos, but in the third photo Horace looks so proud of "his baby".They seem to have formed a real bond. It is lovely to see Hector sharing close space with Zofia and Hector too. I hope everyone is feeling better today.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos to see on a Sunday morning John...
ReplyDeleteNice seeing those two bonding so well....if they do
find homes, then they should go together...! Bless!xx
A dream come true to have the cozy crew snuggling together.
ReplyDeleteIt is.
DeleteGreat news to hear that Neville seems to be recovering from all the tooth removal. And to think that he might be feeling well enough to tolerate two other kitties practically lying on top of him. Good picture glad you were there to take it and share it with us.
ReplyDeleteShe's definitely getting the boys to love her, whether they like it or not!
ReplyDeleteWhere is dear Renn sleeping with such a full bed?
I hope Nev and Hector are recovered by now. That last photo in particular is pretty remarkable. A good sign for the future?
ReplyDeleteI hope so.
DeletePurring for The Nevsky and Horace, that they are on the mend.
ReplyDeleteMs. Zofia may be making strides in total acceptance.
The power of felines getting along together is quite a thing to behold. When they want to. It is lovely to see yours doing so. Hopefully the bug thing is just that, and a sharing of immunity will be the outcome.
ReplyDeletePurrs for good things in the weeks to come, and maybe a little room on your lap! 🙂

Thank you for commenting. Seeing my cats get along is a joy, indeed.
DeleteNothing is sweeter than a kitty pile! I hope everyone is feeling better!!!
ReplyDeleteThose photos melt the heart. It's wonderful to see the kitty bonds, and also to see Neville tolerating Zofia! May that continue indefinitely. :-)
ReplyDeleteI do hope everyone is okay today too, no further digestive upsets.
