Largo is the third kitten to open his eyes, while Allegro and Andante are still sightless. I think the babies are starting to feel constrained by the cat-bed: they are climbing more, and Vivace made a full circuit of the bed, and has probably satisfied herself that all that may be discovered in that tiny world has now been discovered.
Meanwhile, I think their mum is starting to think a break from the kids may be in order…

Vivace is making me think of insects that will get on the bird bath dishes and not know they are only going in a circle. It does look a bit crowded in the nest.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like the whole family is ready to expand their horizons...
ReplyDeleteYes, it is getting rather crowded in there. No wonder Rhapsody, who obviously is an excellent mom, needs a bit of space from time to time. π
ReplyDeleteIt looks like the kittens will soon be out of their cat bed and exploring - then the fun will start!! Rho is probably looking forward to a break.
ReplyDeleteRhapsody is probably hoping the kittens will soon make their escape, and she can rely on the babysitter to keep an eye on them while she has a well earned rest!
ReplyDeletehay ewe wee kittehz…yur mom mite be gettin reddy fora wee rezt, but yur unkle john better bee pree pared two get NOE REZT ππ‼️πΈπΈπΎπ
ReplyDeleteShe does deserve a break. :)
ReplyDeleteShe will need to get away from them for a stretch at a time soon. If she were in the wild, she’d be leaving daily to hunt.
ReplyDeleteA larger bed, or putting them on a towel/blanket on the floor might help, if you could keep them from wandering too far afield.
Yup, five demanding children all at once is a BIG undertaking...πΊ
ReplyDeleteI recall that when Sweetie brought her kittens into our yard, she would enlist Hobo to entertain them while she went 'way off into another area. Am sure that they were NOT his (we hadn't TNR'd the group yet), since they didn't look like him at all, but he was a willing sitter and those memories of watching him interact with the babes are very dear.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to look and see what kittens open their eyes usually.
