“You should have six cats,” they said.
“Hmm, that sounds like a splendid idea,” I responded. “What could go wrong?”
Well, when one has six cats, something is always wrong. With Raleigh’s stomatitis diminishing, and Tucker learning to eat toothless, our situation needed a new problem. Fortunately, circumstances had several cats from which to choose. This time, poor Parker has the trouble.
He has been throwing up small amounts of clear bile for a week or so, and I have been giving him, first, slippery elm, and then, hairball medicine. On the weekend, he spewed up a bright greenish yellow bile. I don’t think that is the result of a hairball. He may have to go to the doctor. Kinds thoughts for my sturdy-boy would be appreciated.
Parker, sending you purrs and hugs, sweetheart!
ReplyDeleteFrom the little I know about such things, it could just be a hairball. Poor Parker. All my best wishes for him. You and the cats certainly all deserve a time-out from medical issues!
ReplyDeleteOh, dear. Purrs from Nicki and Derry and healing energy from me. We hope it's something innocuous--you need a break from all of this (as does your fur crew).
ReplyDeletePoor Parker! Fingers and paws crossed that he will get well soon! You're quite correct - when you have six cats, it's always something, (as I well know). But enough already - you and your guys need a break!
ReplyDeleteHe has them. Parker, Lots of love to you sweet boy.
ReplyDeleteKatie did that but he was also throwing up and that was when she was prescribed probiotics. That was different than poor Parker has.
ReplyDeletePoor Parker, I am sending good thoughts for him.
ReplyDeleteMany kind thoughts coming his way-and yours. No, probably not a hairball.
ReplyDeleteI will be praying for him. I have 13 cats and I am at the vet about once a week.
ReplyDeleteOh dear! Hope Parker feels better soon and it's nothing serious.
ReplyDeletePoor Parker - we hope your tummy feels better.
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine how many vet visits you must face with your team. I dread just taking Poppy in.
Many purrs for Parker....
ReplyDeleteOh no, poor Parker. I wonder that has caused this. I am sure others in the blog friends have had a cat with this experience. Yes, six cats certainly gives you plenty of opportunity to get to know the vet well. I do hope he is feeling better soon. And you have a restful, feline-illness free Christmas. Are there any emergency vets open on Christmas?
ReplyDeleteHolly's results showed that she is healthy and nothing is wrong (an expensive way to find out but also worth it to know she is fine.)
I'm glad to read that Holly is healthy. You're right about the expense, but it does bring peace of mind at such times.
DeleteI'm sending you a lot of positive energy!
ReplyDeleteOh no, poor Parker. My poor Silver girl did much the same and we never did figure out what the cause was. Sadly, she did not recover. The kitties their purrs that Parker regains his health.
