Indigo is spending more time out of the library, and even venturing into the sitting room, as long as she thinks the other cats are snoozing somewhere. She is also learning more about the rules of the household, and how to ignore them. After I took this picture, I removed her from the kitchen counter. She protested, probably asking what the problem was, since she did the same thing every day for eight hours while I was at work…
You could cave and put a towel up there for her to lie on. But given the contrary nature of cats, she'd probably just pick another spot!
ReplyDeleteAnd as a silly cat person with Precious, what is the problem, lol.
ReplyDeleteI think if you were to have a hidden camera filming that counter while you were at work, you'd get some bad news...
ReplyDeleteHow is Tempo doing? Has she resumed eating yet?
That does look like an elite perching spot though. Elevated and nice and cool to loaf on.
ReplyDeleteThat is great she is venturing out of the library.
ReplyDeleteCats on kitchen benches is a big no no for me
I had to laugh at the title of your post - Learning the Rules. Don't you know cats make their own rules??
ReplyDeleteHA! Roberta is right!
ReplyDeleteHard to enforce rules while you are at work. :)
ReplyDeleteIt is near impossible to keep a cat from their favorite napping spot. If she can't convince you it's okay, she'll wear you down.
ReplyDeleteJohn, someday soon: "Okay, okay! Just don't do it when I can see you!"
ReplyDeleteIndigo: "Gosh, the other cats were correct: training a human is easy!"
I always let them, but they were never where I prepared food. On the other parts and...I have a soapy rag if needed. :-) How is Tempo? Is she eating?
