A Reminder

Imogen will sometimes jump up onto the kitchen counters. Often, when she does this, it is merely a step to jumping further: on to the top of the cupboards. Sometimes, she proceeds no further, and I must put her down on the floor again. This is ordinarily a simple and painless task.

This morning, however, Miss Silky accidentally knocked over an item on the ledge under the kitchen window. This made a disproportionate noise, and startled her. This in turn led her to panic in my arms, and leap from them.

On a possibly related topic, I think it’s time to cut Imogen’s claws.

  1. Ouch! Put some Polysporin (or other) on that, John. It's definitely time for Imogen to have a pawdicure!

  5. Take care of that scratch, but we know that Imo didn't do it on purpose.

  7. Yikes, that is a fearful looking scratch...more like a sabre cut! The death claws attacked your arm in self defense from a fallen article...

  8. Yikes! Sometimes that does happen.
    Glad you survived! MOL!

  9. Yupper. Had a similar incident when Admiral was startled in the night while we slept , she on my chest...and she took off like the hounds of wherever were after her, leaving her painful scratch on my cheek as her back legs powered her escape into that good night in the bed as we (were!) slept.
