All of my outsiders are now accounted for, following the very low temperatures we experienced here a week ago. Yesterday, I saw Sable come to CafĂ© Cosy for a drink. As I mentioned, it’s all she comes for now. I don’t mind; she – as well as Arliss and Cicero – don’t come often anymore, so they would have starved long ago, if they didn’t have alternate sources of food. I was simply worried that they had suffered irreversibly during the deep-freeze. Now, I know all three are still doing well.
That's great news! Thanks for the update.
ReplyDeleteThat is good news that they all came to let you know they were okay.
ReplyDeleteDearest John,
ReplyDeleteSo good to read that the outside kitties so far seem to have survived!
Thanks to generous souls like you, that put food and water out for them.
Hugs,
Mariette
Two cats with their backs to the camera. One warm and one sunbathing in the frigid cold.
ReplyDeleteThat is truly so good to read!
ReplyDeleteYou'll never stop being concerned for them.
ReplyDeleteThat is a relief. Cats can have amazing survival abilities. Have any of the ferals around your workplace returned?
ReplyDeleteI forgot to answer your question about the work-place ferals. All the regulars have been accounted for since the big freeze, thank goodness.
DeleteThat really is terrific news. We were worried about our ferals too since it has been way below freezing here but they all seem just fine.
ReplyDeleteThat they are surviving through the miserable weather is good. I do wish they could be indoors but it is clear they've got resources, including your assistance.
