Experiment or Crime?

Some time on the weekend, somecat decided to see what comprised my bathmat. I don’t know if the investigation was conducted under purely scientific conditions, but whoever did it certainly saw the insides. The closer view reveals red stains. I thought initially that they were blood, and that some cat had hurt himself. I decided to check the felines for injuries; it would also provide a clue as to the guilty party. But no one exhibited any serious damage, either then or later. It may have been a scratch due to too-eager claws, or it may not have been blood; perhaps a reaction to something on paws. In any case, I never found out who was responsible.

“And we saw nothing…”

  1. "I see nothing, I hear nothing" an old TV saying on Hogan's Heros.
Who is guilty and who is innocent. That is the mystery.

  2. Who IN the world would ever EVER think this would greet them as they went into the bathroom! I would naturally think Brazil could tell you what happened. The blood may have come from an inured claw after all the pulling and tearing go the fabric...

  3. That was quite a job they did on that poor mat. I do hope those stains weren't really blood, though. I hate to think of the guilty party losing a claw or something.

  4. It's always an adventure at the Cosy Apartment! If there's no trail of blood, and no video evidence, then of course there's no proof that ANY cat did this....Could have been gremlins or ghosts. :-D

Maybe you need one of those fabric mats that don't have the non-slip backing, the kind that more easily go in the washer. LOL.

  6. I hope whoever it was solved the problem of what the mat was made of. Never a dull moment!

  8. There's never a dull moment at the Cosy Apartment. Have you thought of contacting Jessica Fletcher? Maybe she could figure out "who done it".

  9. Send them all over for the Party. Just getting started. If they want I can send the Cat Bus for them. They need to listen for the meow horn though.

  10. Tell Brazil to have careful manners though. The old lady cat has a short temper! (suuuuure she does).

  13. Sharpening the claws perhaps? Or just making a new mess for you to clean up? You may have to put in nanny cams. :p
