Slow and Steady Wins the Race

This past weekend was the first in which spring made itself felt. The sun shone and, though the temperatures were still cool, the air was warm enough outside for the windows to be opened. The cats were enjoying the scents that they could smell through the screens, and someone took the opportunity to attempt a little closeness with his new roommates.

Parker still hopes to become friends with the others, especially Renn. The perm-cats remain reticent, however, and there is a limit to proximity. But with each day, familiarity grows.

We are patient, Parker and I.

  1. Open windows and some critters (birds, squirrels) could help. :-)

In any case, all four in one shot is great! At the very least, peaceful coexistence would be the goal. Anything more than that would be a bonus, IMO. :-)

  2. They all look very content looking out that big window!

  3. It looks like everyone is so focused on what's happening outside, they've forgotten about Parker being the "new kid on the block", and they've included him in their birdwatching.

    1. I try to distract them when Parker is that close, if nothing else can.

  4. I've developed a real soft spot for Parker, the sweet boy who just wants to be friends. He's a dear soul. Hope someone befriends him.

    1. So far, I'm his only friend. But I recall saying the same thing about Tucker, and he has certainly made a spot for himself here.

  5. Patience is definitely a virtue. I guess the smells of the outdoors makes it easier.

  6. I too hope dear Parker's efforts to befriend his feline housemates are soon rewarded. But I know these things take time. Lovely to see them all enjoying the views.
