My foster-cat, Horace, is a clever fellow. He enjoys playing with the fuzzy mice, especially on the smooth, hard floor of the dining area and the kitchen, where they slide about most satisfactorily. But they also easily slide under appliances.
He has come to realise this, and so, when in the kitchen, will often pick the mouse up and remove it to dining area, with its fewer traps for losing toys. There, he will drop it and resume knocking it about.
This doesn’t guarantee that it won’t fly under the micro-wave oven stand, though, since it is on wheels and treasures under it can be more simply recovered, it doesn’t seem to present the danger to ending fun that the refrigerator and oven do.
As I mentioned, Horace is a clever fellow.
Just look at that face in his last photo! Quietly clever. And saves you from using a yard stick for a toy retriever.ReplyDelete
He is. I was thinking how intelligent he is to pick his mice up amd move them. THAT requires thought!!ReplyDelete
A smart boy who knows how to keep on having fun by avoiding the perils in the kitchen, so the toys don't disappear under stoves and such;)ReplyDelete
Clever cats get to play longer and have more fun!!!!!ReplyDelete
Smart boy, Horace!
we can see that Horace is clever, indeed!ReplyDelete
He is clever indeed. I wish he would come to my house and teach my cats how to do that. I'm embarrassed to think how many cat toys the next tenant will find under my stove and refrigerator when I move.ReplyDelete
Very clever Horace! I love how he lays on the sofa arm. My Silver girl used to do that too.ReplyDelete
Horace is sure a fun one!ReplyDelete
Mr smarty pants. Please give him a pat from us, and tell him we enjoy seeing his handsome face.ReplyDelete
Horace is very clever indeed, and very considerate! I would say that all of my cats have deliberately pushed their toys under the fridge and couch, just for the kitty fun of watching me having to get down on hands and knees and fish them out. :-PReplyDelete
Yes! A clever fellow...but then all pussy~cats are....! :O)ReplyDelete
Horace is clever and can think things out.ReplyDelete
Clever AND a guy who knows how to have a good time!ReplyDelete
Horace knows the value of a good toy.ReplyDelete
Oh Horace you are smart AND handsome.ReplyDelete
Most of the kitties that lived with petcretary would sit in front of the offending toy trap and stare at it, and then at her to beg the retrieval of said toy.ReplyDelete
Horace, you ARE clever indeed!
