My foster-cat, Horace, is a clever fellow. He enjoys playing with the fuzzy mice, especially on the smooth, hard floor of the dining area and the kitchen, where they slide about most satisfactorily. But they also easily slide under appliances.
He has come to realise this, and so, when in the kitchen, will often pick the mouse up and remove it to dining area, with its fewer traps for losing toys. There, he will drop it and resume knocking it about.
This doesn’t guarantee that it won’t fly under the micro-wave oven stand, though, since it is on wheels and treasures under it can be more simply recovered, it doesn’t seem to present the danger to ending fun that the refrigerator and oven do.
As I mentioned, Horace is a clever fellow.
