Half a year ago, many of Renn’s teeth were removed. To console him, the Tooth Fairy (a.k.a. the kind people at the blog 15 and Meowing) sent him a catnip toy. Much more recently, Neville had all but one or two of his teeth taken out. Once again, the generous Tooth Fairy sent a gift to the reluctant dental patient.
Alas, Nev is not like Renn, who still retains vestiges of playfulness. My Nevsky is the laziest of creatures and, though interested in the toy, did not play with it. He is an ungrateful wretch.
However, two of his younger foster-siblings did see the toy’s potential. Both Hector and Horace enjoyed the present, and spent much time with it, enough to turn it into a slobbered mess. It is now recovering from its ordeal, and will be given back to its tormentors later.
I want to thank 15 and Meowing for their kindness. Though Neville couldn’t rouse enough energy to appreciate his gift, there were those who definitely thought well of it.
How sweet, it is good that some of your cats enjoyed the toy.
ReplyDeleteHow thoughtful for the "Tooth Fairy" to send Neville a gift. Perhaps in the future he'll play with it, but for the time being, Hector and Horace are enjoying it, and that's a good thing.

It just turned out to be a grateful gift to the youngsters. And Neville can sit up high and Survey the crime scene.

ReplyDeleteNeville looks shocked--shocked, I tell you!--at the mayhem going on around him. That's great that the youngsters, at least, had fun with the toy.

ReplyDeleteNeville is a bit of a poop when it comes to activities, but the younger generation loves it.
DeleteThat's funny that the potent nip Miss Ellen uses in her 'toys' and gifts was soundly rejected by Neville...at least Horace and Hector had a ton of fun with it.
