Indigo is going to the hospital on Friday. She has lately been much hungrier than usual, not only eating all of her soft-food meals - she normally leaves a small amount out of half a three-ounce tin - but crying for me to hurry up when I am preparing them. It may be that her diabetes is no longer being adequately regulated by the amount of insulin I give her. If she is not receiving enough insulin, her body may not be breaking down the food’s nutrients properly, and Indie may not be receiving what she needs, even though she is eating more. Therefore, she will go for another frutosimine test. It requires only a blood sample.
Indigo has other health problems, of course, and these too may be at fault. There is more difficulty in determining their involvement, however.
She continues to do well otherwise, though, and has, after a year and a half, discovered the revolving cupboards in the corners of the kitchen. These provide her with more locations from which to be misanthropic (misfelinic?).

ReplyDeleteIt's free, if Indigo will put up with you.
DeleteThose cupboards do seem like a perfect Cat Adventure. And may the vet visit go well!
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed for a good vet visit.
ReplyDeleteI hope Indigo doesn't get dizzy going around and around! π
Good luck getting her off the merry-go-round and round her up for the vet trip.
ReplyDeleteKitties love a little hidey cupboard.
ReplyDeletePurrs for Indigo.
ReplyDeleteThe merry-go-round is aces!
Sending purrs and purrayers and Power of the Paw that the vet visit gives some answers and way to fix things.
ReplyDeleteThat merry-go-round looks like fun. Once the other cats notice it, they will want to ride it too.
ReplyDeletePlease let us know how Indigo's vet visit goes.
I hope the problem(s) can be figured out quickly and help Indigo feel better.

ReplyDeleteI do hope the vet can come up with some answers.
ReplyDeleteHer hiding places are truly stellar.
