Another Christmas Day for the Memory

Christmas Day was enjoyable at our household. The cats let me sleep in late - well, late for me, which is, unfortunately, never very late anymore. I received a number of thoughtful gifts from friends and family. One of them, from two of my friends here in town, was a Christmas dinner. Every item was prepared and it was brought over to my house to be cooked in my oven. The turkey turned out very well, and I ate far too much of it and its accompaniments.

The beasts spent the day alternately sleeping and welcoming/avoiding guests, depending upon their temperaments. I was most pleased at being able to stay home with them and watch them be content.

I hope Christmas Day was happy for you, and that the Yuletide continues so until its Twelfth Day ends.

  1. We love the stockings and we hope Santa filled them with treats for all.

Seems like it was a lovely Christmas for you (being brought dinner is fantastic!) and we hope that continues for you through the twelve days too!

    Purrs and peace.

  2. Glad you and the cats had a good Christmas. We did here too. A very nice Christmas at home with all the many cats and dog.
Thanks so much for the nice purrs for Joe. Hopefully he will be better soon.

  3. Hi everyone!! We did have a nice Christmas, glad to hear you enjoyed yours. We came by to wish you all a Very Happy New Year and that 2015 be filled with love, happiness, good health, all you need to live comfortably and lots of hugs and nose kisses!

  4. What a thoughtful gift you received from your friends! Sounds like everyone had a nice day. It was quiet here, just my adult children, a friend, and I (and the cats of course). As the cats would say, it was a "purrfect" day.

All the best to you in 2015!

  5. Glad you had a wonderful Christmas day! Hope you have a wonderful new year!

  6. We're glad you had a nice Christmas. We did too. I got a new scratcher! ~Wally

  7. Glad you had a good Christmas. It looks very cosy with the stockings hanging by the fire.

  8. Unhappy Christmas for several reasons. One only hopes next year will be better.
It sounds like you had a very business Christmas day.
Visitors, guests and friends preparing a feast. Just lovely. Leftover turkey, maybe turkey curry or turkey pie, for Boxing Day sounds good too. Like A Christmas Story, I had Chinese food.

    1. I'm sorry that your Christmas Day wasn't a glad one. Is it because of Spirit? Having Chinese food on that day can be discouraging. Have you tried the boneless turkey breasts? I have had those in the past and they are quite good for such occasions.

  9. That sounds like a grand dinner and a fine day. I sure miss having a fireplace. Ah maybe someday again! Have a fine new year
