All in One

I haven’t published anything on the blog all week. That’s principally because nothing of note happened. The beasts are doing well; their health is at least adequate, and they are in good moods. Perceval continues to sing and talk at night, which means he spends most of them in the library, where he falls silent. I hope still to have him adjust to the quiet of the night; time is on our side. His integration with the other cats has been without problems.

I hope everyone has a good weekend. I will report on anything exciting if it occurs. I prefer the mundane, really. I can report on that, just as well. Until then, enjoy a very rare picture of all the cats in one frame.

  1. All four look just fabulous. Nice for all 5 of you that life is quiet except for the nightly singing. Is Perce a Bass or a Tenor? Hopefully not a high note cat.

    1. Mainly tenor, I would say, though with some notes lower and some, unfortunately, higher.

  2. All the cats in one frame is a minor miracle. :-)

I wonder why Percival carries on so much at night. Nicki sometimes used to carry around a toy mouse at night and vocalize as he did it, but he didn't do it all night, thank goodness. And yet Percival is quiet when by himself. If only we could really understand cats!

Other than Percival's "singing," I'm glad all is mundane. I was thinking earlier this afternoon that everything must be okay at your end, as you hadn't posted!

Well, I hope you can post on the "mundane" more often, John. :-)

  3. I love the "family portrait". It's good to hear that "all is quiet on the western front", except for Percy, of course. But no new is good news, and I'm sure you can use time without any excitement.

  6. Sorry I missed so m any posts...but it seems the most that js happening right now are dark o'clock soliloquies!!

Maybe he used to call to his feral buddies or warn his feral enemies of his presence that way, and the habit continues.

  7. Nothing to report on is good news! Apart from Percival Pavarotti I hope all remains quiet. That is a nice photo of all four in close proximity.

  8. Lovely seeing them in one photo...Bless!
And Percival, bless him, keeping everyone's
spirits up with a little vocal interlude...Perhaps
his rendition of something by Lionel Richie ....!

  10. That's a great photo. And considering the alternatives, "mundane" is a highly underrated state.

  11. I wonder if Percival prefers the peace and quiet in the library- hence he is protesting out there at night amongst everyone? Nah. I think that is far fetched too.
