  1. Your life's going to be great from now on, Hector. The Hoomans will see to that.

P.S. Just out of curiosity, do we have any idea how old Hector is? He gives me the impression of someone young.

  3. Awww Hector, that told your old Hoomans what no goods they are! Your new Hooman will make sure you stay safe, warm and well fed. Do you know what Hector? I think you may already have your forever home!

  4. John, you have no idea how much I could identify with Hector's letter. Just yesterday, the rental agent in my apartment complex asked me to take in a cat that had been left behind by his family. We got him checked at a wellness clinic, and now "Pete" has been with me about 24 hours. He is still pretty hissy, but I'm hoping, like Hector, he'll learn that life can be good.

    1. A happy coincidence! Pete’s in a very good place now and, like Hec, he can forget his former people (good riddance to bad rubbish.) Thank goodness you were asked to take him in, though it does make things…interesting…for a while.

  6. Hector, I read your letter probably three times just for the sheer joy of it. I see that it took no time at all to come to the conclusions you have come to. And they are all true.

Anyone who could leave a cat alone like that doesn't deserve the word Human. But you are safe and loved now- and that is a wonderful feeling, isn't it? Love you Hector. Write us again sometime...please. What a good boy.

  10. Hector it was a terrible thing that you went through before Dr. Bellen was lucky enough to have you come stay in his cozy apartment. Enjoy every minute of it while you're there as you wait for a forever family to show up. And if they don't make themselves known for a while you have a real furrever family where you are.

  11. Hector, that was a wonderful letter. We hope what your previous humans did to you comes back to them in countless ways through their lives ("what you sow, you reap", karma and all that). You definitely are in a GOOD home now, whether that's forever or until you do find a different forever home. Either way, you're safe, well cared for and loved. ♥

  12. Hector, Mommy was just thinking she told me, that she wishes every cat in every shelter come with a similar letter for their new people. She meant that. XX to you, precious boy.

  14. Hector you are finally in the right place and Dr Bellen will make sure things run smoothly from now on. Those new cats you met are pretty relaxed so let them get to know you and wait a while, a few Munts at least, before you Bite him.
This letter, to one who should hide in shame, shows how much good can come from a little understanding and patience with patients.
Well Done Dr Bellen and The Cosy Apartment Feline Sanitorium

  15. Hector, even after we enlarged your letter our HuMom couldn't really read it and she is such a cheapo she doesn't have a printer, but we can pretty much tell what you said from the comments, and we think that you are in a real good place now ! Purrayers !

  16. OMC!
I have leaky eyes, Hector, you wrote so poignantly from out of your heart.

You are safe from abandonment and I am sure that will never happen again. Ever.

Thanks for telling those other so and sos and laying the guilt upon them. They are like a bad taste in our mouth. Blech.
