Xanadu's Next Move

Xanadu will be moving tomorrow. He is not being adopted, but I think his life will improve.

He is going to another foster-home, where there are already three cats, as in the Cosy Apartment. But, unlike here, there is one young girlcat (two years old) who is very active and is making life tiresome for one of the other felines in well-intentioned attempts to get him to play. Ellie needs a playmate, and the rescue-group thinks that Xanadu may be the fellow.

I don’t believe he will have a problem adapting. At my home, he is trapped in the library all day, and even when he has the chance to stretch his legs, it is only for an hour or so at a time. Hopefully, his new situation will give him a whole house in which to run about. If his integration with Ellie doesn’t work, or if he too takes to bothering the other, more sedentary, beasts there, Xanadu will come back to me. But I think he will do well in his new foster-home.

  3. I hope Xanadu enjoys the new atmosphere with a younger cat to play with.
If he has a bigger play area at his age, I am sue he'll take full advantage. You'll miss him but your 3 cats will enjoy full attention.

  8. Xan's new home sounds ideal. I'm sure he'll be happy there, and I know Ellie will love having a playmate. (Not to mention, the other cats in the home will enjoy getting a break from rambunctious Ellie.) If possible, please let us know how he is settling in.

  11. It will work out really well we bet. When Dad took on Einstein, who was a bottle baby, it was because Rumpy adopted him. The Great White took to him when he was 5 or 6 weeks old and they have been pals since. Rumpy was always over active so being older was not an issue. We are sure you will have a wonderful life Xanadu
