Talk is Chirp

The situation is improving at the Cosy Apartment; I think keeping Zofia away from Neville has improved the latter’s mood without inhibiting the former’s freedom. Nev seemed more relaxed last evening, knowing he needn’t worry about seeing the baby about. Why she bothers him, I don’t know, but she may represent too rapid a change in things.

In any case, she and Hector are fully-fledged playmates now. It’s funny to see the tiny kitten chasing a cat four times her size and ten times her weight. Hec will chase her, too, but is usually careful about touching her. I keep an eye on them to make sure no one gets carried away. I hope to have a video of them at their fun soon

In the meantime, Horace, who views Zofia as a curiosity more than a friend, finds other sources of amusement and interest. Here he is telling the magpies outside what he would do to them if he had the chance. (As if he would…)

  1. Oh, Lord, I think that's the funniest cat chirp I've ever heard.

  2. Hoarce is telling them in no uncertain terms what they mean to him.
And funny that Miss Zed gets to be the tiny aggressor to Hector. David and Goliath.

  3. I LOVED heraring Horace talking to the Magpies and letting them know how fortunate they are that he doesn't feel like coming out there to kill them...just for now. Every day will be another decision he has to make. He told them! Never heard such cussing! Horace, my cheeks are pink! LOVE learning that Hector and the baby are friends and playmates now! What a great happening!! Can't wait for the video.

  4. That chirp chatter is always fun to hear.
Pipo did that too...and sprayed the window with saliva in the process, LOL!

Nice that things are calming down; the cat antics of Hector and Zofia not-withstanding, LOL!

  5. I'm glad Neville is doing much better away from Zofia. I hope he'll soon be okay in her presence, though.

As for Horace--I, too, LOVED hearing his chirping! It's so adorable, the tiny squeaky chirps they make. ♥

  9. I'm so glad to hear Hector and Ms.Z are now playmates. Hector has needed someone to play with. Meanwhile Horace sure knows how to speak his mind.

  10. Good news all around. Nev gets his quiet time and the littles get to play together. I love Horace's call. Saku is a chitterer (that's the only way I can describe it), but he doesn't pay the birds much attention any more.
